The NYU-CUNY Prevention Research Center (PRC), funded by the CDC, serves to advance programs to increase access to care and disrupt the cycle of health disparities among disadvantaged populations. NYU-CUNY PRC designs, studies, and disseminates community- and clinic-based interventions for improved linkages to chronic disease prevention and management and preventive care. The PRC has provided technical assistance and program evaluations of a number of municipally-based CHW programs, including the New York Health Justice Network (HJN) and the Harlem Health Advocacy Partners (HHAP).
