This publication describes the development of an educational training program for community health workers (CHWs) focused on clinical research competencies. Rather than testing a clinical intervention, the article explains how the authors used the Joint Task Force for Clinical Trial Competency framework to design training that prepares CHWs to engage more effectively in research activities and support community participation in clinical studies.
